What am I? I am a spirit. I have a soul and I live in a body
First... How do I talk to God and grow in rhema?
All of the versions of the Bible translated from the original languages are meant for better understanding were inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit. The different versions say the same things in different ways and hit different angles in our spirit to develop our understanding and coleus together to make a picture for our minds to interpret.
One huge truth I realize is the degree to which I trust God to act in my life he does. What does this mean? Look at this scripture:
Isaiah 55Amplified Bible (AMP)
55 Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing].
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy].
3 Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David.
This is saying that the degree we believe we are going to hear or see him in our lives he will be in our lives.
The first step to this is understanding how to hear from him in his Word aka the Bible.
How to Read the Bible
Every morning I wake up and I ask him for a scripture and he drops a book and chapter in my spirit. Sometimes he takes me directly to a verse and it is my job to understand what he is telling me. There have been times where it wasn’t clear so I looking through other versions of the bible and he always provides me with what I need to understand.
In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock andkeep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.
For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seekand keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocksand keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.
The more I act on his word the more he develops me into what I was meant for.
Mark 4:24Amplified Bible (AMP)
24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [a][of thought and study] you give [to [b]the truth you hear] will be the measure [c][of
The more we act on what his word says the more he gives us. Look at the following scripture:
Mark 4:24Amplified Bible (AMP)
24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [a][of thought and study] you give [to [b]the truth you hear] will be the measure [c][of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.
So consider carefully the things you’re hearing. If you put it to use, you’ll be given more to wrestle with—much more.
The unseen realm is spiritual. What does this mean? This means that my thoughts, my emotions, my feelings and attitudes are spiritual.
Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.
How do I know that these things are spiritual?
A spirit is an attitude.
Romans 11:8Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 As it is written, God gave them a spirit (an attitude) of stupor, eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear, [that has continued] down to this very day.
Have you ever noticed how someone a day before they get sick they say it and have an attitude of being sick before they are?
A heart is our understanding and our soul.
27 For the heart (the understanding, the soul) of this people has grown dull (stupid, hardened, and calloused), and their ears are heavy and hard of hearing and they have shut tight their eyes, so that they may not perceive and have knowledge and become acquainted with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their souls and turn [to Me and be converted], that I may heal them.
Our Soul is our life
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and siftingand analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment.
But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life.
The Bible says that God searches these unseen areas of us constantly. Therefore if you believe he knows and he rewards you according to the maturity of your unseen places.
1 Chronicles 9 And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts andminds and understands all the wanderings of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] you will find Him; but [a]if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever!
Now we are saved by grace through faith. Period everything was accomplished on the cross but we must work to enter his rest in the unseen realm.
Hebrews 4:
11 Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].
What is this rest and what does that mean?
The following scripture shows what this rest looks like.
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
How do we get to this place internally? We trust God, we love God and we fear God. Our intentions. motivations and actions prove what we believe.
